but I seem to recall hearing that there was a landowner issue that had sprung up near the Gardiner end of things that was threatening access. I'm sure one of the north gate locals can update on the situation is or whether it has been resolved (or if my brain is inventing things once more...).
It was a fun hike when I did it many years back, so hopefully still one that can be done.
