But I know they take you to the same major overlooks as you drive to in the summer, out and back in one day. And I've seen some beautiful photos of the snow-dusted canyon and half-frozen falls beyond.

The link is to Xanterra's winter activities page. They describe the snow coach transport as "guided tours" and the drivers are in fact well trained to explain things along the way, but I really view, at least the trip to the UGB, mainly as a form of public transportation :-)
