I too miss the days of snowmobiling. We ALWAYS followed the rules, not off road, chase animals, etc. I still don't understand the difference of the bison going down the plowed road in the winter, and the bison going down the paved road in the summer. Both are easier than cross country.

I don't want to stop when the guide says to stop and leave when the guide says to leave. I want Yellowstone on my own terms and times.

I think too many politicians and tree-huggers got involved. I wrote letters to many congress/senate people in WY, MT and other states. Only a couple acknowledged.

So sad when ordinary citizens cannot enjoy the park without spending a bloody fortune in getting a guide. I understand the 2-stroke vs the 4-stroke engines and don't have a problem with that. In fact, we were there when a 1000+ sleds a day were going through the west gate, and never once saw the "blue haze" they all complained about. So.....?????
