The trail starts right behind Roosevelt Lodge. There's a short spur trail to the base of the falls, but the main trail climbs the hill and goes to Lost Lake.
At the top of the hill before you get to Lost Lake, the trail turns south and eventually goes to this overlook of the falls. The trail continues on and eventually loops back to Roosevelt near the corrals.
Fairly good chance to see some wildlife up there, especially black bears.
