Buffalo Bill Cody. It started out as his hunting camp, and grew into a tourist business, of course! The schlepp from Cody to Pahaska is 50 miles, it must have taken two long days by stage, wagon, or on horseback, from Cody, which I believe was the nearest railroad depot. Please correct me if that's wrong!
This structure is the first lodge he built. It's on the historic register, but I don't know if it is used any sort of activity, public or private. It does look a wee bit out of 2012 code?
