Larry Loendorf told me he came to Yellowstone in the early sixties to work on the granite causeway in Lamar Canyon. But since there was a road already on that side of the canyon, there should have been something underneath what we see today. Maybe Roadie can find a pre-sixties photo of the Lamar Canyon road?
