is being (partially) replaced because many of the tiles came off during the past two winters. Especially last winter with the heavy snows. At least that's what I've heard.
The building has (at least) one major design flaw. When the snow slides off, it accumulates right in front of those back doors where you go out onto the porch to view OF going off. Anyone who was there last spring knows that the doors were blocked off until well into June because the snow that had fallen off the roof over the winter had piled up over the roof line. The architect ought to be publicly spanked for that. As the snow melted, they discovered several roof tiles had slid off with the snow, so I suspect that's the main reason they're replacing much of it.
