The tiles/shingles that covered the George Jetson entrance facing the Snow Lodge were also replaced out of caution that they might fail. We were told that the entire roof is still under warranty so the supplier is paying for the work and materials.

I heard a representative from the architect's office speak about the roof shortly after building opened. She said the undulating pattern of the roof's aluminum edge was a design element meant to reflect the skyline of the basin and not specifically designed to shed snow.

When I was in the park recently the lobby doors were being blocked open at mid day for ventilation allowing bugs, dust and noise to enter along with the visitors. The "green" climate control system is obviously not up to the job on a warm afternoon.

This photograph shows the building off to good advantage. Thanks GH.
