Over the last 12 years I have stayed mostly in Silvergate Cabins with a spell using Elkhorn Lodge in Cooke, I have also heard good reports of Super 8.

As you say your main interest is wolves Silvergate Cabins is a good bet, the manager is a wolf enthusiast and is out in Lamar every morning and is a good source of information.

An up to date report on wolf activity can be had at yellowstone reports.com costs $20/year that is a donation to the wolf project.

My visits are February and May
