...there aren't a lot of "least" visited anythings in the Tetons anymore. But one area that's worth a drive just for the views is the road that runs from the town of Jackson through the Elk Refuge (no elk yet in October though), a quick stop at the Miller House to get some history of the refuge is worthwhile. Then proceed past Miller Butte (Miller everything), maybe the bighorn sheep will be there in October, then up to Curtis Canyon Overlook - pictured, looking west to the Tetons - all this is marked. It's not terribly far but it feels remote and is beautiful. That's Bridger-Teton National forest, I think (but best double-check) you can let the dog out there, at least on leash. If you hike, be very bear-aware!

Gros Ventre campground, also east of the highway, may be sporting some nice bull moose by the time you get there.

Spaulding Bay Road is an unmarked, but easily visible, gravel road to the west of the interior park road, between, I think, Mountain View turnout and Mount Moran turnout (my best memory, I may be wrong but it is in that general area, rangers can confirm) that leads to Spaulding Bay; you can find it on Google maps. The road is rough in places, high clearance is best, but it's little-traveled and very beautiful back there.
