And in greatest abundance in the eastern-northern range, as you say. Over the years I've seen them in random places throughout the park. I'll never forget one miserably rainy June day years ago when we spotted one at Norris junction. In a more recent winter, one day there were three bulls at Dorothy's Knoll, bloody nubbins of antler loss shining brightly.

Round Prairie was full of 'em for a while last winter. This is *NOT* the best example of that Tamron's performance, but these guys were far across SB Creek, January 15, 2019. There were three or four full-grown bulls (losing their antlers one by one), a cow, and a calf. The calf was hilarious. The bulls were half-heartedly sparring, I think more to knock those pesky antlers off than establish dominance. The calf watched for a while, then tried to but in. The bulls lunged at him and he ran to his mama. Then he came back and did the whole thing again. So cute!

Glad you're enjoying the pics.
