When I flew to Hawaii, I was able to get a good deal on rental car through my airline carrier. An interesting thing I discovered when checking for a rental car in Billings was that I could have gotten a lot better rates online through one particular rental agency at their office away from the airport than at their office at airport, but they weren't allowed to pick you up at the airport so it would have been inconvenient.
