Magnificent animal, daylight getting a little brighter. Here's what it looked like from the back. What glorious feathers you have, Mr/Mrs Owl!

Great grays are interesting, like some other owls, their beaks usually stay hidden among the face feathers, and their legs and talons are completely covered by stocking-like feathers. Only occasionally do their talons show (stay tuned...)
