stand out! One was sitting in John Uhler's living room outside Gardiner many years ago one evening with a bunch of other folks listening to Frank tell stories ... one of which was how he was charged by a sow griz and had to use bear spray and change his drawers when he got back. We all know Frank when he's telling stories, and this particular evening was no exception. We all laughed so hard that night! Thank you, Frank! Laughter is the best medicine indeed! The other one is the three of us standing around or sitting on our truck's tailgate in Hayden Valley at Grizzly overlook (I think that's what it was called) 'til way past dark. That's when we got to really "know" Frank's heart. It was a rough time in his life, and we were honored that he bared his soul to us. A bond was formed that lasts to this day, and we cherish that bond. An added bonus ... Little did we know at the time that the truck parked right next to ours (and the man telling us about night vision binocs), was Alphawolf's. He didn't introduce himself that night, but he did tell us about it later. What a great evening all around. Recently, we met up with Frank and Jane in Alaska and had a special couple of hours with them. It was like old home week! We will miss seeing him/them in Yellowstone, but he'll always be with us in spirit and maybe we'll be fortunate enough to run into him again one day in a park here ... or there ... or ... Great memories! We love ya, buddy!
