Winter seemed to get a slow start this year; while there was more snow on the ground higher up in the park, along the Old Yellowstone Trail on December 2 when I took this pic, life was still pretty easy for the browsers that spend the winter there, like this young pronghorn doe.
Why do I say she's young? Because she's got evident horn sprouts but they're not yet big enough to support the sheath she'll grow over them later in the spring.
