Although I thoroughly enjoyed every installment of Tim GA's beautifully organized chronologic report, I tend to report topically. My first topic is my favorite little country restaurant, the Log Cabin Café in Silver Gate - you've all been there, but they have a little story to tell this year.

But just to orient you first, we arrived in Bozeman to pouring rain on Saturday, June 9, and headed right for the park after a stop at Albertsons in Belgrade (great store!), Bob Ward's in Bozeman for bear spray, and Subway for lunch. By the time we got to Lamar, the air had cleared. washed clean by the rain, and it was OH-GOD-I'M-SOOOO-GLAD-TO-BE-HOME!! I know you all know the feeling!

Photo is of the Lamar River more or less where the Lamar Canyon begins to narrow (actually taken about a week after we arrived) - just to set the mood :-)
