That lens is now *shot* too. After the crash I could still get decent focus up to about 220 mm, but not beyond - what a cryin' shame out there in Yellowstone and the Tetons!! Many missed opportunities. But anything beyond about 220mm came out like double-vision. It's in the repair shop now. If I'm not being to irreverent, please pray for it. My toe will sooner or later fit in a hiking shoe again. I'm really not nearly as confident about my nice long lens :-(

I promise, future episodes of this trip report will be back on topic, not so full of life lessons, and much more fun for all concerned than this one was!!
