Wild-land fires are not the only kind we have in the west. On July 14, 2020, one of the restaurants at the corner of 3rd Street and East Park Street in Gardiner, Montana, gateway to Yellowstone National Park's North Entrance, went up in flames. Unfortunately it took several adjacent structures and businesses with it. The cause was determined to be an accidental kitchen fire. The buildings dated to the turn of the last century. There were no injuries but the businesses losses were ruinous.

Last time I drove through there, about three weeks ago, clean-up had not yet gotten underway.

A fence has been erected to safely contain the debris, which is awaiting substantial clean-up.
