In GPS collaring, no, they can't be tracked by the general layman, the GPS collar does not emit a continuous signal, it is for historical tracking over a period of time. The equipment to track a GPS collar is very expensive as are the collars.

I will agree, they may have been unethical, but they committed no crime, you have accused them of committing a crime and could be held responsible for your statements if your not careful. You have publicly accused people of committing a crime, you can't do that legally without evidence of a crime being committed.

We have a case pending here in the Flathead, that someone accused someone of committing a crime in a public blog and it looks like they are going to loose. The blog owner was compelled by the court to release the identify information on the poster and she had a suit filed against her, right now it looks like it is going to cost her several hundreds of thousands of dollars for her opinion!

The day of freely posting opinions is gone, you can be held responsible for those statements you post, as we all watch the net grow, there are those who are watching what we post.
