I agree, the killing of 06 and all the other collared YNP wolves is senseless. They have not been killing livestock. Their pelt is worthless because the collar mattes the hair around the neck. These wolves, in my opinion, were targeted because they are collared YNP wolves.

I feel these so called hunters (more like poachers) are using radio equipment to track them down and kill them. Yes, they were outside the park boundaries, but these wolves posed no harm to local livestock.

Anyway, those of us who follow the wolves are deeply saddened by what is happening. 06, the "rock star" of YNP is gone. 754M is gone. The fate of the Lamar Canyon pack is up in the air. It just saddens me that people take joy at killing these beautiful animals.
